After the ping pong game yesterday friends had afternoon tea gathering at Golden Horse Cafeteria at Major McKenzie and Leslie. 10 people altogether including Julie and myself. I ordered a set meal pork chop and chicken breast with gravy on rice, hot tomato soup and tea with milk and sugar. Julie ordered fried fish fillet with fruit and veggie salad and soya milk. In the conversation, I was asked by some one about electricity support program for seniors in Ontario. I therefore would write a post related to the program here and on our RHTTC55 eMagazine sharing the information among the seniors.
When I was home that evening I was busy on something related to the forthcoming 55th reunion of La Salle Old boys in San Francisco. I forgot the followup work on OESP. I just remembered it this late afternoon after a doctor 's appointment.
Three important points as follows:
What is OESP program?
OESP stands for Ontario Electricity Support Program. It provides ongoing assistance directly on the bills of eligible low-income electricity consumers The Ontario Energy Board is helping to make electricity more affordable for low-income households.
Who qualified for OESP program?
Low-income households that apply and qualify will receive an Ontario Electricity Support Program credit on electricity bills monthly. The credit amount is based on the number of people living in the home and their total household income.
How to apply the OESP program?
Electricity customers from lower income households are encouraged to apply online at OntarioElectricitySupport.ca
