抛砖引玉 throw out a brick, and get back jade - Chinese Idiom

A heartfelt thank you to all my friends and readers for taking the time to visit and read my blog posts. Your support means the world to me! A special shoutout to those who go the extra mile by sharing their thoughtful ideas, insightful comments, and warm wishes—it truly adds so much depth and richness to the conversation.

You know what they say: You throw out a brick, and you get back jade." Honestly, that’s exactly how I feel about your contributions. I might start with a simple thought or idea (my "brick"), but your responses are like precious gems—polished, valuable, and always inspiring. Together, we create something far greater than I could ever do alone.

So, thank you for being part of this journey. Your presence and input make all the difference. Let’s keep the conversation going—I can’t wait to see what other "jade" we uncover together!

Thanks for sharing your story. It was a love story, a miracle. Your victory is not small at all - it is truly great ! You have shown yourself to be a fighter, a devoted husband, and someone who understands the power of gratitude.

When playing table tennis, we used to say, ‘ You are proud (that you fail) ! ‘ But you are humble, yet courageous.  A tribute to you and Julie!

Carlo

1)去年入/出院事故始末暨愛妻Julie不離不棄的守護、愛心侍候乃至完全復原,情節動人、感人肺腑,堪稱:「鶼鰈情深」、「夫唱婦隨」、「患難見真情」,是不才的我,敬仰及佩服不已的高風亮節;

2)旅遊星架坡景點、見聞、觀感,美不勝收、描繪有緻。船上行程的景物乃至令人垂涎欲滴食品之豐富,洋洋灑灑。見者不期然予以善慕與讚歎,蠢蠢欲動,希望能置身其間;

What a beautiful, inspiring and educational story of self awareness, patience, endurance and unconditional love!!! Thank for sharing.

I had a busy week. Over the coming weekend, I need to catch up with your other pieces of outstanding work from Monday since.

It is a great delight to hear your miraculous recovery and a valuable enlightment to learn from your insightful and informative account of your ordeal.  Behind every happy man is always an unsung  hero , a wife.  Yes, I regret to admit that I had sometimes taken my better half for granted.  I hope it's not too late to treasure my fortune.  Your advice to listen to your body is accurate. I would like to expand on that. Your health is your greatest asset.   Protect it well.  Stick to healthy habits, food, exercise and rest. Check for   and control the ' 3 Highs ' of Blood pressure, Blood sugar and Cholesterol.   Don't miss Ambrose's talk on Healthy Living.  You want  more meaningful Golden Years, to be enjoyed  with your better and irreplaceable half.

David thx for the sharing. I'm sure you had an experience you'll unlikely forget for a good while

Travel is not about going from one place to another, it's going from one experience to another: it about the experience of difference so that we may repeat what we got accustomed to such that somehow even the repetition no.longer feel the same. So happy for you that your flu proved remains just that.

Canadian Senior Drivers BE READY! Major Driving License Updates

A Year After Brain Surgery: My Journey of Recovery and the Vital Lesson of Listening to My Body

On March 13, 2024 I was lying in St. Michael’s Hospital, undergoing surgery for a subdural hematoma—a condition I never imagined would happen to me. Today, as I reflect on my journey, I am filled with gratitude for the steady recovery I’ve made, the invaluable lessons I’ve learned, and the unwavering support of my incredible wife, Julie. Her love, patience, and personal care during my darkest moments were nothing short of heroic. This story is as much about her as it is about my recovery. The Wake-Up Call: Recognizing the Signs Before my diagnosis, I experienced subtle but persistent symptoms that I initially brushed off. Fatigue, occasional headaches, and unsteady walk were easy to dismiss as stress or lack of sleep. But over time, these symptoms escalated. My walking became unsteady, my speech occasionally slurred. March 11, 2024 Julie noticed my severe headache and booked the appointment with our family doctor who  urged me to seek medical emergency attention right away. It was ...
