Yellow Edge Grouper for Dinner

Yesterday Julie and I had a dinner gathering among old friends. It was at Go Go Chicken Pot . A very convenient location at the intersection of Bayview and Elgin Mills East. The highlight of the evening was 10 lbs Yellow Edge Grouper. It was a pretty big fish enough for 10 -12 persons for dinner. After a brief discussion, we decided to cook the fish in 3 different ways as follows: 1. fish bones, tail, Bakchoy and daufu soup 2. Wok fried fish cutlet with carrot, broccoli & green onion. 3. Winter Storm with Blowing and Drifting Snow

Richmond Hill was hit by Winter storm with temperature -10 C feel like -25 C. As forecast by the Weather Network there was 26 cm of snow. It was a record breaking winter snow. The old record 23 cm dated back 50 years. There was no school for my grandchildren due to the battering snow storm and dangerous road conditions. My first task this morning was to clear the snow on the driveway and the windrow at the driveway entrance, I could not wait for the City of Richmond Hill to clear windrow as I had to go to Rouge Woods Community center for ping pong at 9:00 a.m. .Julie did not go with me. She stayed behind at my daughter 's home babysitting the grandchildren. As expected there were few people showing up at the gym. 3 generation households in Toronto

It was bad weather today temperature - 20 C feel like - 28 C. Snow storm was expected bringing in around 25 cm of snow throughout the day and night. Early in the morning Julie and I drove to our daughter 's home and brought the grandchildren to school. Traffic was not too bad as snow storm did not start then. We had our quick breakfast at Golden Horse before we returned home after shopping our food. A very light lunch with some noodle and a piece of bread before we went to Rouge Woods Community for ping pong. 3 hours of ping pong was indeed a very good workout for the day. Due to the snow storm warning, we left home a bit earlier picking up the grand kids back to our home. The kids had dinner with us before they returned home with their parents. FIRST VISIT TO THE ONE FUSION CUISINE

It was a freezing morning. Temperature -10 C feel like -20 C. I left home at 8:30 a.m. arriving THE ONE FUSION CRUISINE at 8:45 a.m. When the restaurant opened at 9:00 a.m. there were already more than 10 people waiting outside the restaurant entrance. It was a big contrast to last week when there were around 50 people awaiting in the lobby as all tables were fully seated. Julie and I got a table for 5 persons. After the ping pong game yesterday friends had afternoon tea gathering at Golden Horse Cafeteria at Major McKenzie and Leslie. 10 people altogether including Julie and myself. Today is Sunday, 20th January 2019. There is a severe weather warning today. Temperature is -18 C. The gusty strong north wind makes people feel like -30 degrees C. Flurry, snow mixed with ice pellets were showering trees, roofs, roads, sidewalks and driveways. Fortunately, road conditions are not too bad as Town of Richmond Hill City worked through out the night almost everywhere with its team of snow service vehicles . In the night I could hear the wind and snow removal trucks working as their roaring pierced through the silent sky. Early 6:00 in the morning I woke up. It IS DAY 6 ... a Busy Day In the morning, I went alone to Langstaff Community Centre and played 3 hours of ping pong. Usually, I joined the group lunch together with the ping pong friends. Desktop blogging in leisure hour

Morning tea and dim sum with Julie at My Wonderful Kitchen Richmond Hill. She shot the picture while I was enjoying my cup of green tea. Excellent price there. All dim sum at $3.50 for large, medium and small . The restaurant provides wi-fi there but I did not do any mobile blogging there. Today is Sunday. After a rich breakfast Julie and I went to the McConaghy Seniors Centre meeting friends and played 2 hours of table tennis with them. It is almost a daily routine and it is a very good way to keep fit both physically and mentally. We returned home after lunch. I resumed working a bit at the computer room which is my blogging corner. I resumed working on the new blog "Grandpa David A 's blogging journey". I fine-tuned the layout making it simple and neat. I also put on AddThis share button there so that the readers can share with friends. One important point worth mentioning here is the blog loading time. Long loading time is unaccepted by all visitors and readers. This blogging corner is where I do my daily blogging. With today 's mobile/smart phones blogging is great fun.
