After writing yesterday about the unexpected Al Di Là moment, I suddenly remembered another wonderful surprise from our BBQ karaoke gathering.
That evening, it seemed hidden talents kept appearing one after another.
Besides the popular English and Cantonese songs, one gentleman suddenly picked up the microphone and began singing traditional Cantonese opera songs — 粵曲 (Yuet Kuk).
What made it especially enjoyable was not only his singing.
As he performed 臥薪嘗膽 , his body movements, hand gestures, facial expressions, and rhythm all came alive naturally. It felt as if we were no longer inside a simple karaoke room, but watching a small live stage performance.
Many of us were impressed.
Some quietly smiled with admiration. Others watched with great attention. The atmosphere immediately became different — lively, cultural, and full of energy.
I realized something that night.
Many ordinary people around us quietly carry amazing talents and passions developed over a lifetime. Yet in daily life, we may never notice them.
It was only because of this relaxed gathering that everyone felt comfortable enough to share their special gifts.
What began as a simple BBQ karaoke evening slowly turned into something much richer:
a celebration of friendship, memories, culture, music, and hidden talents.
Life can still surprise us at any age.

BBQ 卡拉 OK 聚會裡更多隱藏的才華
寫完昨天《Al Di Là》的小故事後，我又想起 BBQ 卡拉 OK 聚會裡另一個令人驚喜的時刻。
那天晚上，好像每隔一會兒，就會有新的隱藏才華突然出現。
除了大家熟悉的英文歌和廣東歌之外，其中一位朋友忽然拿起咪高峰，唱起了粵曲。
最精彩的，不只是他的歌聲。
當他演唱時，身體動作、手勢、表情與節奏都自然流露出來，十分投入。那一刻，我們彷彿不再只是坐在普通的卡拉 OK 房裡，而像是在欣賞一場小型現場表演。
大家都看得非常投入。
有人靜靜微笑欣賞，有人專心觀看，整個氣氛立刻變得充滿文化色彩、活力與感染力。
那一晚，我忽然有一種感覺。
原來我們身邊很多平凡朋友，都默默擁有自己多年累積下來的興趣與才華，只是平時沒有機會表現出來而已。
正因為這次輕鬆自在的聚會，大家才願意放鬆地把自己的特長分享出來。
原本只是一場簡單的 BBQ 卡拉 OK 晚會，慢慢變成了一次充滿友情、回憶、文化、音樂與驚喜的聚會。
人生任何年紀，依然可以帶來驚喜。
