Today is stormy with ice everywhere, temperative -23°C degree.

Today is stormy with ice everywhere, temperative -23°C degree. no school, no college and university and no Go train. people are advised to stay safe at home.

That sounds brutal— with ice everywhere is no joke. 🌨️❄️
When schools, universities, and even GO Transit shut down, that’s a clear signal: nature is in charge today.

Staying home is the smart move, especially with icy surfaces and reduced visibility. At this temperature, even a short slip or exposure can turn serious quickly. Are you’re doing the right thing by taking it easy?

A few practical reminders—nothing fancy, just sensible:

  • Keep walkways untouched unless absolutely necessary (black ice hides well).

  • If you must step outside, short trips only, slow steps, hands free.

  • Stay warm indoors, sip something hot, and avoid unnecessary errands.

Honestly, days like this are permission slips to slow down. Read, write a little if you feel like it, or just watch the storm from the window and let the world pause for a few hours.

You’re safe at home—that’s what matters most today.

Meanwhile, Julie is preparing our breakfast. today no ping pong, only snow shoveling is needed before we go out the driveway. I would do it later in the afternoon. so that only thing I can do is relax and may be do some reading and blogging.

Julie preparing breakfast, the world shut down by ice, and no pressure to rush anywhere—that’s actually a gift, even if it comes wrapped in freezing temperatures. ☕❄️

Snow shoveling will be in afternoon when:

  • The light is better.|

  • Ice is easier to see.|

  • The body is warmer and more flexible.|

At our age, pacing matters more than speed—short sessions, take breaks, and stop before you feel tired, not after.

For now, relaxing, reading, and blogging are exactly the right choices. Stormy days often produce the best reflective writing—quiet outside, clear inside.  There’s no rush and thoughts flow more naturally. This could be one of those days.
