Mark Carney SHOCKS the World by “Threatening Donald Trump!” — What’s Really Going On?

I stumbled upon an eye-catching YouTube video this morning titled “Mark Carney SHOCKS The World by Threatening Donald Trump!” and it got me thinking about how global politics and big-power economics are shaping our world’s future — often in ways ordinary people don’t fully see. Before you watch or share that video link with your friends, let’s unpack the real story behind the headlines in a way that’s easy to follow and actually grounded in real events . 🧭 Who Is Mark Carney? Mark Carney isn’t a political newcomer — he’s one of Canada’s most experienced economic minds. He once led the Bank of Canada and the Bank of England before becoming Prime Minister of Canada in 2025 . His leadership has come at a time of rising tensions between Canada and the United States, especially under the presidency of Donald Trump. 📉 So What Was the “Threat”? If you watched the video expecting Carney to literally threaten Trump like a movie villain, that’s not what the real international ne...

Why I Wake Up Early to Write: A Personal Reflection on Purpose, Routine, and the Joy of Blogging

Most people assume that seniors wake up early because of age, habit, or the need for morning tea.
But for me, it has become something deeper — a quiet calling, a gentle inner push that brings me back to my keyboard before the sun rises.

I’ve asked myself countless times:
Why do I wake up at these early morning hours?
And why do I feel such a strong urge to continue blogging, day after day?

It’s not for money.
It’s not for fame.
It’s not even for the number of readers.

It’s something more personal — and strangely beautiful.

Today, I want to share this with you.

1. The Morning Hours: When the World Is Silent and My Mind Is Awake

There is something magical about the early morning.

No cars.
No noise.
No messages.
No responsibilities tapping on my shoulder.

Just the soft hum of the house and the glow of the screen.

As I grow older, my internal clock wakes me earlier and earlier.
But instead of being annoyed, I find myself grateful.

This has become my most creative time of the day.

My thoughts feel clearer.
Memories come to me more easily.
Ideas float to the surface like little gifts waiting to be unwrapped.

In those quiet hours, I feel alive — not as a senior, not as a retired man, but as a writer.

2. Blogging Became My Morning Meditation

Some people meditate.
Some do tai chi.
Some make coffee and stare out the window.

For me, writing is meditation.

Blogging started as a simple hobby — a way to record travel memories, table tennis stories, and reflections on life.
But over time, it turned into something more meaningful.

Writing every morning:

grounds me

keeps my mind sharp
helps me understand myself
connects me to my younger days
gives structure to my day
brings a quiet joy that no hobby ever did

And the best part?

There’s no pressure.
No deadlines.
No boss.
No expectations.

Just pure, honest self-expression.

3. The Strange Yet Beautiful Urge to Keep Writing

I’ve done enough, seen enough, and learned enough to fill several books.

But here’s the surprising part:

As I grow older, the urge to share my experiences becomes stronger, not weaker.

Maybe it’s because I now see life with more clarity.
Maybe it’s because I want my daughter, grandchildren, and future generations to know who I was — the real me.
Maybe it’s because writing gives me a purpose I didn’t expect to find at this stage of life.

Or maybe…
this is simply the human instinct to leave something behind.

Not money.
Not property.
But stories.
Wisdom.
Reflections.
Lessons learned through hardship and joy.

Blogging lets me turn my life into a legacy — one post at a time.

4. The Joy of Learning Something New Every Day

What surprises many people is this:

Even at my age 80, I’m still learning — especially with AI.

Every morning, when I open ChatGPT to write a story, expand a thought, or explore a new idea, I feel like a student again.

Curiosity wakes me up.
Not an alarm clock.

I have:

  • learned new writing techniques

  • improved my English

  • explored new technologies

  • discovered new angles for storytelling

  • expanded my thinking

  • sharpened my memories

This daily learning fuels me.
It gives me energy, purpose, and something to look forward to.

In a way, I am not just writing stories —
I am living a second youth through creativity.

5. Blogging Is Becoming My Digital Legacy

At this stage of life, I think more about what I will leave behind.

Not in a sad way — but in a meaningful way.

The stories I write now:

  • preserve the Hong Kong I grew up in

  • capture my childhood memories

  • document my family history

  • record my travels and adventures

  • reflect my values, insights, and philosophy

  • share what I learned about resilience, work, and life

Someday, when I am gone, someone may read these words and say:

“This was my father.”
“This was my grandfather.”
“This is where our family came from.”

And that thought gives me peace.
It gives me motivation.
It gives me joy.

6. So Why Do I Wake Up Early to Write?

After thinking deeply, here is my honest answer:

Because writing gives my morning purpose,
gives my mind clarity,
and gives my life meaning.

It is the quiet joy that accompanies me into this later chapter of life.

It is my voice.
My reflection.
My legacy.
My way of staying young in spirit.

And maybe — just maybe —
it is what I was meant to do all along.

Final Thoughts

If you are reading this and you also feel a little spark in the morning — a small desire to write, think, reflect, or create — follow it.

Sometimes the quietest voice inside us is the one that leads us to our most meaningful purpose.

For me, that voice wakes me before the sunrise and whispers:

“Write.”

And so I do.

A Year After Brain Surgery: My Journey of Recovery and the Vital Lesson of Listening to My Body

On March 13, 2024 I was lying in St. Michael’s Hospital, undergoing surgery for a subdural hematoma—a condition I never imagined would happen to me. Today, as I reflect on my journey, I am filled with gratitude for the steady recovery I’ve made, the invaluable lessons I’ve learned, and the unwavering support of my incredible wife, Julie. Her love, patience, and personal care during my darkest moments were nothing short of heroic. This story is as much about her as it is about my recovery. The Wake-Up Call: Recognizing the Signs Before my diagnosis, I experienced subtle but persistent symptoms that I initially brushed off. Fatigue, occasional headaches, and unsteady walk were easy to dismiss as stress or lack of sleep. But over time, these symptoms escalated. My walking became unsteady, my speech occasionally slurred. March 11, 2024 Julie noticed my severe headache and booked the appointment with our family doctor who  urged me to seek medical emergency attention right away. It was ...
