About This Blog – A Gift from Grandpa and Grandma

It began as a gift for our family—especially our daughter and our wonderful grandchildren—but along the way, it has become a place where friends from around the world can visit as well. Our life is simple, and that's exactly how we like it. Some mornings we enjoy breakfast together before taking a walk. Sometimes we spend time in the garden, sometimes in the kitchen trying a new recipe, and sometimes we simply sit quietly with a cup of tea, watching another day unfold. As I've grown older, I've discovered that happiness is often found in ordinary moments. A warm meal shared with family. A phone call from a loved one. A grandchild's laughter. A kind word from a stranger. These moments may seem small, but they stay in our hearts for a very long time. The kitchen has always been the heart of our home. It is where stories are shared, meals are prepared with love, and memories are made. Nothing brings us greater joy than hearing our grandchildren say, "Thank you, Grandpa and Grandma. That was delicious!" Those simple words are worth more than anything money can buy. I started *Grandpa Journey* because I wanted to leave something behind—not riches, but memories. One day, when our grandchildren are older, I hope they can return here and discover what life was like for Grandpa and Grandma: how we lived, what we believed, and how deeply we loved our family.
