A Simple Easter Sunday: Church, Good Food, and Quiet Moments

🧓 Grandpa Journey Series

It felt different right from the morning.

Most shopping malls were closed, and the usual busy rhythm of life slowed down.
There was a sense of quietness in the air.

⛪ A Peaceful Start

We attended the 8:00 am Mass.

The church was calm and meaningful.
Easter is a time of renewal, hope, and reflection.

Sitting there, listening, and praying—it brings a kind of peace that is hard to describe.

🍽️ A Simple but Rich Breakfast

After church, we went to Hoi Tong Restaurant nearby.

The breakfast was simple, yet very satisfying:

  • Sandwich
  • Beef noodle soup
  • Two eggs
  • Milk tea with sugar

All for about C$12 plus tax and tip.

Not just affordable—but enjoyable.

Sometimes, it is these simple meals that bring the most comfort.

☕ A Familiar Coffee Break

Later, we stopped by McDonald's for a hot coffee.

Just sitting there, holding a warm cup, watching people come and go—it’s a small moment, but a pleasant one.

🍜 Lunch to Complete the Day

We also had lunch at Golden Horse Restaurant.

A full day of simple food, simple moments, and a relaxed pace.

🤖 A Small AI Moment

Even on a holiday like today, during a quiet moment, I took out my phone and chatted briefly with my AI companion.

No pressure.
Just a simple question, a short exchange.

It reminded me that AI is not something separate from life.

👉 It can fit naturally into small, quiet moments.

✨ Final Thoughts

Easter is not about doing something big.

It is about:

  • peace
  • gratitude
  • simple joys

Today was not busy, but it was full.

A morning at church.
A good meal.
A warm cup of coffee.
And a quiet conversation.

Sometimes, that is more than enough.

“5 Simple Things I Now Use AI For Every Day (As a Senior)”

Canadian Senior Drivers BE READY! Major Driving License Updates

Aging Wisely: Rethinking Health Norms After 75

As we journey through life and reach our late 70s, 80s, and even 90s, it's only natural to reflect on how our bodies change—and how our health needs evolve. Many of us grew up hearing that "normal" blood pressure is 120/80, that bone strength must match that of a 30-year-old, or that regular cancer screenings are essential. But should we still be using the same health standards designed for young adults? The short answer is: not always. In fact, applying young adult norms to older adults can sometimes lead to unnecessary worry—or even harm. Let’s explore how aging changes our bodies and what that means for how we monitor our health. 🩺 Blood Pressure: A Little Higher May Be Healthier You've likely been told that 120/80 mmHg is the ideal blood pressure. But as we age, our arteries naturally stiffen. A systolic pressure between 130–140 may actually be safe and acceptable in older adults, especially if you feel well. Overly aggressive efforts to push blood pressur...
